Getting started!

Post by Christopher Kirk »

Hello all!

I am interested in getting into live steel combat and armour smithing, both of which I have briefly dabled with in the past. I would like to touch base with people who wouldn't mind helping me in this dircetion, eg. tourneys, classes, resources, HELP. Image Are their people that do this out there?

Thanks a lot!

For armoring, you'll probably get better answers if you post some specific questions on the armoring board. For live steel combat...heck, I know we've got some live steel folks who post here occasionally, but it's largely a den of decadent rattan fighters. Hopefully one of the live steel folks will offer their two bits. You can also take a look at the forums at the AEMMA site at http://www.aemma.org/index2.htm , they seem to have a lot of live steel folks.
