For those who couldn't make it to the Schola St. George symposium in Livermore, I've posted an online version of the class I taught there on Jeu de la Hache.

It's an introduction to the manual taught in just under two hours, covering the counters to the overhand blow. The techniques illustrate some underlying principles of the manual and show how they can be adapted for distance, footwork, and handedness.

Thanks a lot for this Iain! And it was a pleasure to meet you in Livermore. I was kinda surprised when you were up there doing the moves with Bob C. I thought you had never done it before and were catching on real quick, but then I (finally) caught on that your participation was part of the show.

I'll check out the online materials this evening.

Anyone know what those pole-axe's where made out of? They looked too stiff to be made of rattan... oh and how where the heads of them made?

They might be homemade, or they might be the Purpleheart wasters padded.
