Are there any archivers going to Lillies? I would be very interested in sharing a camp this Saturday if anyone is willing. I'm only going to be able to stay for one night, but it would be good to see some archivers face to face for a change.

I'll be there, with new toys to hit people with! A pair of matched baskethilted broadswords for florentine, a Mandrake axe, and four javelins. JPdS, Daffyd, Alric, Asoph etc know me, so have them point me out for you.

Hoping to be there for maybe Thursday-Sunday of next week...might get screwed out of it by the fact that my network engineer is about to have a baby.

No can do on the cuirass: I don't have the other gear I need to make it work yet. I'll be the one with a burgundy leather COP, a barbute, and a goofy expression.

This will be my first war, even though I've been fighting in the SCA for more than five years. Unfortunately, I don't have a shield yet, so I'm going to have to fight glaive.

Seriously, though, I would be grateful if I could share a camp with someone; I'm pretty much on my own over here.

Just out of interest, which side will be fighting for? As this was a last minute decision, I haven't had time to make a surcoat of the appropriate color. My COP is red(ish) so I expect to have to fight with the lions.

One of the greatest (probably THE greatest) awards an Ansteorran can receive is to be appointed to the Order of the Lions of Ansteorra.
