Next Round Table Chat - Topic, Time and Moderator?

Post by Richard Blackmoore »

The last one was fun (for me anyway). Who wants to moderate the next one?

Suggestions for topic and time (Sunday nights after 9:30 Eastern Time are usually good for me).

We sorta had an impromptu one this past Sunday about historic chivalry vs modern chivalry. Was interesting. learned a lot from Vitus. One day I will volunteer to moderate "Courtly love vs period morals." Not this Sunday though! Image

My suggestion:

Civalry and the modern woman: How do our modern views, morals and society affect our interpretation of the code of chivalry.

Points to be covered:

on the feild, when facing a woman

off the feild when facing a woman who is decidedly un-lady like.

Off the feild when encountering a woman, who has voluntarily put her self in a bad situation, and may or may not want help

Near the feild, how to treat her consort, ESP at a pas (does he (if it is a he) sit in the gallery?)

Is there any prerequisite to sitting in on the discussion?

So... Are we doing this tonight or not?

And if yes, are we going with Rev's topic?

I'm a little under the weather, so I'd like to know soon if I should stay up for this or not. See you all later.
