For those of us who wish to talk about the many styles and facets of recreating Medieval armed combat.

Swordsmanship Symposium in May again?

Post by Prince Of Darkmoor »

Has anyone heard word of another Swordsmanship Symposium happening in Livermore this year? At the end of the Symposium last year, Brian Price said that they were thinking about doing these every year (as opposed to every other year) and I definitely don't want to miss out. I checked chronique.com but couldn't find any new information on it.

If there is to be a Symposium in May, I may have to rethink exactly where my income tax money is going!

What involved in this symposium?
Livermoore is a bit of a drive but if it's something interesting I'd be willing to do it.

It was an armour whore and Western Martial Artist's paradise Image

IIRC, Christian Fletcher was there exhibiting and selling some armour, as well as James Gillespie, Mandrake Armory, Purpleheart, and some notable others. Plus, there were fechtbuch classes being taught over a three day period including Bob Charron's Fiore seminar, La Jeu de la Hache, Ringeck, Talhoffer, and other classes.

Definitely a must-do event.

Just got this reply from Brian Price:

"Yes! We're still trying to finalize the date and site, but we have a stack of good
instructors."

So, armour fiends of the world, unite!
