Great event!

I am in the second vid at 4:38 or so executing giant axe guy (actually, I armed him twice). This was funny because after this I turned and... I was the only guy left. But the marshalls blew the horn before St. Martins (about 20 of em) could nobly challenge me to single combat / execute me like a dog.

Kudos to Caid for putting on a great event, and generally having a well organized army.

Sigifrith, I had a great time too. I didn't see any major issues on the field, even though the fighting was good and rough. The mild weather was kind to us, and at least we could pick up a cool breeze in the shade between battles.

I am still paying for the knee use though. During the last flag battle, I ended up hanging out guarding the flag because my knee had decided it was done for the day. I was trying to last out those last few minutes, but I decided not to wait for the medical hold. I could barely walk the next few days but it was worth it.

Even though practice has been cut lately due to the sprained knee, I was able to go spear at the pell a few times before the war, which I think really helped with targeting. Several people said that St. Martins (us guys with the blue/white bends) looked like 20 people, but there were only 10 of us. :-)

I could see the axe in the air out in front of me, but there were too many people between me and you to even see the end of the battle. Sometimes it sucks to be so short...

 I wrenched my back the week before, otherwise I was going to go. It is healed up now but I knew I couldn't fight on it and I didn't want to sit in camp at a war. It is healed now and I continue to prepare for sca tournament.

I hope to visit Caid more often now that I am, um, whatever it is I now am again. :D

Warm Regards

Avery

looked like alot of Caid on Caid violence, is Atenvelt not showing up in force like they use too?

Me and Erwin kept saying all weekend how much we wish we were at Potrero.

Brother Amos, say hi to Erwin and his good lady for me. Atenveldt has not come out in force of late, but it was a good war and the weather was pretty much perfect. Mid 70s, neither too humid or too dry.
