(SCA) Looking for contacts/ practice in San Diego

Post by muttman »

I have a friend who is in the Marine reserves who lives near me, and he has a friend in the reserves who lives in San Diego, but his Marine dutys bring him here once a month. My friend has been trying to set us up so I could teach him some basics, put armor on him, ect. and let him see how he likes heavy fighting. They came by this morning and I gave Chris (my friends friend) a crash course in the basics and a lot of homework and an old sword to do pell/slow work with. Now he wants to find a local group to work with. I know there are some folks from San Diego out there in Archive land, so can you help this guy out?
BTW, he is a nice guy, polite, takes direction well (doesn`t have the "I know I know" syndrome) has definite raw power and a lot of potential. If he lived out here I would snatch him up as a man at arms for my house in a minute, so he will be a benifet to anyones group.
Thanks
John
