Lord Avery;
I appreciate the efforts you are putting forth for support for Sir Eisflake during his recent deployment in the middle of his reign. All of our SCA brothers/sisters in arms need our support whenever they get sent in harms way to some 3rd world sh*thole spot.
However lets spread the concern unto all our SCA brethren, not just the ones with the pointy hats. For every royal peer that gets called up and sent out there is probably two dozen or so SCA unbelted regular folks that hit road to the same place.

I agree completely and have related experience being a GS civilian for many moons in Japan. My deepest respects go out to anyone and everyone SCA or not who is serving in the Armed Forces. I have only forwarded this message to the Archive because he is well known here.
In addition to this posting for Sir Andreas I am also in the process of preparing a care package to send over there for whomever, SCA or not, that will include many videotapes, magazines, etc. It is being sent via an Archiver and SCAdian, but will be shared by all the troops in his unit and surrounding ones.
I offer to help anyone in need, pointy hat or not.

Gentles,
As a member of House Bloodguard, and a friend of Andre's, he will appreciate it. Remember, since he is a "hat" many people will be writing and sending things and it takes time. Here in Afghanistan it takes about ten days to get a package. Depending on the actual place he is located, it may take longer. All I recommend is patience and if it is time critical, I believe he has appointed a liason within our household.
I have recieved e-mail from SCA friends I have never met. I appreciate it and so will any service member that you send to. Support us all in this "Crusade" against terror. We don't make the decisions, we follow orders and fight for what others won't. Even if we agree or not.

With regards and wishes of health, Vivat!

Word was issued on the Meridies tavern yard that Icefalcon will indeed receive his ducal titles! Huzzah!

I spoke last week to His Majesty at his deployed location since it is right over by where I am deployed. I was hoping to be at the same location while we are both deployed. So far I haven't found anyone else from the SCA here at Site 41 in Bahrain. Really wish there were.
