Pollaxe, matched if possible with someone armoured the same as I.

But in almost all situations, pollaxe.

30" Round + Sword.

The thread about finding sword and shield boring is an interesting one. I wouldn't go the opposite and cry that greatweapon fighting / polearm etc. is boring, But I certainly have little interest in fighting from too far a range, which may have something to do with it.

Which is probably one of the reasons I've never really been heavy into war fighting.

I've always found that I like my S&S in wars far better than spear or polearm. The pole guy gets one shot to kill me, then I run him down. Not saying I don't get killed by spears, just saying he has to do it on the first shot or he's dead 90% of the time. I think shield walls have their place, but I hate fighting on them, I prefer running Cavalry style.

Two weapon in single combat. I dont like to use a shield because it clashes with my outfit, But I am having one made to go with my 14 c kit.

In melee I like spear and mace and brace of giant axe goons or polearm and mace and brace of giant axe goons.

I try not to have favorite forms anymore - they create attachments that diminish my enjoyment of the many forms present.

I have been known to use 'spear and speed-bump' on occasion. Spear and 'goon with axe' sounds like fun as well. :D

Regards

Avery

Ivan, its not potato style at all (and I would know). Good mace fights tend to be short, dynamic and aggressive fights. You have have fought Duke Rolf when he had his mace, hav'ent you!

Yes, a few times. I'd rather wrestle Gunther.

Rolf inspires me to be that good with a Mace (I have a screwed up one badly based upon his design as mine is too heavy), and to not let him hit me with it (thus inspiring me to be better in defense).
