Pinky balls, that is.....

I've serched Dollar stores, Target, Wal-mart, Kay-Bee, Toys-r-Us...and more. Most look at me like I'm a lunatic.

T-Bob, where did you find your balls? How many balls do you use to make your maces?

I'm currntly using a base of Mcdonalds playland pipe covering (blue foam with a kind of plastic coating)over my rattan and I was going to affix my balls to that.

Have you used tennis balls? Are they workable? I was concearned about them being fuzzy and the tape coming off if I used these balls instead of pink ones. I was considering shaving them first. For those of you who have made maces with tennis balls, did you shave your balls first? Dd you notice a difference in performance between shaved and unshaved balls?

Thanks for any input. I really want to get my mace made, i just have to find the balls to do it.

don't know if shaving is gonna make the tape stick better ...but I bet it will hurt less if you have to pull the tape off

I bet Hush knows where they are. My guess is they are pickled in a jar in the kitchen cabinet.

I was thinking... I you are having to replace T-Bob's balls so frequently, maybe you shouldn't be buying them at discount stores. Kinda like cheap tires and low tread life.

Once more, let me explain, "Hush" is one of the most friendly and helpful people you could ever meet. She comes off harsh on the internet, but if she said it to your face you'd laugh it off as nothing. Like me, the way we write comes off more agressive than what we really are.

Heh heh, I got to thinking about T-Bob's pink balls and went out to the garage and started digging in my ancient armour box. Lo and behold, beneath enough scrap leather to build a suit of lamellar for an elephant I found one of them! That's right, folks, I have one of T-Bob's balls! Hahaha! I *know* you are all so jealous! After 12 years it's not quite as pink as it used to be but I've got one and you don't!
