The Priory has yet to discuss this as many members have been off questing in that far land of mundania...
We have ever stood shoulder to shoulder with Sir Johannes, and I suspect will do so again. Although His Excellency Sir Nigel is dear to us as well.
That would be five taking the field I believe, although my gear is at present in disarray.

Perhaps the Hochmeister (dude to the extreme) will weigh in.

Just received my welded mail in the mail today. One step closer to having my kit up to snuff. Although I am 1315-20, and a bit early in appearance. Us eastern personas are a bit backward though :D

After the battle last year I pledged myself to His Excellency Earl Nigel. I do not speak for the Priory in this, but myself must stand with His Excellency assuming he will still have me among his number.

Brethren of the priory may fight for England or France, brethren who stand against me will do so in their personal livery not that of the priory.
I will also make sure their bones ache for weeks.

Angus,

If this is you, you have my sworn word to allow you to speak for me as to what side we fight on. The honour and respect shown to me last year may be repaid in no other way.

Damn! And I tried so hard to keep all you Angus's straight! My apologies for the confusion, my memory is not all it could be. I have known the man in the photo for years by his face and can not find his name in my head. If someone could help get me off the hot seat I have placed myself on, it would be welcome.

And, please don't feel that My regard for this gentle is any reflection on how I felt about your own willingness to change sides when I asked it of you. I appreciated your willingness to even things up a great deal. It is just that the look on that man's face when I asked him to change moved me to tears, and afterwards I could bear to ask no one else to change.

I'd like to to say to everyone that last year's COTT was one of the highest points in my entire career. The men that spoke for the English side, each and every one, spoke to be at MY side. In a culture of personal loyalty such as the medieval society was, I can think of no greater compliment to a man than the one paid to me on that field last year when I went down the line looking for people who would be willing to change sides to even things up.

No one would make eye contact with me.

It is a memory that will keep me warm on many winter nights, and I have no words to express the feelings I have for the 38 of you that proclaimed for the English and then showed up. For me.

This year, the gentleman in the picture has my bond because I could not give it to all of you.

I will fight for the French again. This deed of arms has become my only reason for making the trip. I truly could return home after and consider the journey a success. As luck would have it, I will be able to stay for the entire week this year.

I have a terrible memory though, do we fight on Sunday or Monday? I need to ensure I request the right days off at work!

Regards,
James ap Llewelyn

No slight taken at all. Thus my first posting with the  smileys. When I had agreed to switch, you stated you would also post an additional ransom to my captor (One of Vitus' squires). I paid him some hand struck Edwardian coin and your bond for ransom.
Never knew if he got it or not as I ended up being drug off the field to deal with issues in camp.

I have had this feeling about the CotT.

It is usually on Sunday. It is up to (one) of the Captains to request the day and time. The last couple years it has been more toward the evening. 6pm. It had been held after Opening Ceremonies in previous years.
