Trompe d'oeil book

Post by Benjamin de Hatfield »

Looking for any reviews for the SCA fighting manual "Trompe d'Oeil". Most reviews on this site are slightly dated and I was ordering if there were any new opinions of the book.

Website for the book: http://www.spookyfx.com/book/tromp.html

Thanks in advance!

I bought and read this my first year. This is a very good book for helping you learn to develop your own techniques, trick shots, etc.

At times it gets a little more into the physics of it than this particular reviewer cares about, but overall I found it a good and valuable read.

If you are looking for a technique library, you won't find it here--the author focuses more on teaching you how to design your own. Which for me was far more valuable.

Hope that helps!

There was a link posted somewhere in this subforum for a free pdf download.
MoralezBeaumont Newcomers Training Manual. It's tedious to read on a ocmputer, so I'll save reviews until I finally get a hardcopy printed out somewhere.
