Here's my kit in it's last configuration, with new double curved shield, the armet all kitted out and my new caparison.

Here are some moving images of it in action as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qpi_njVoIzE

I'm very happy with how it all came together over the last five/six years, next progression: new better gauntlets.

Kaos, I say this with all due respect and in appreciation of an amazing kit:

You're pretty, man.

Thank you, Sir! I'm glad you got to see it with the red brat, which I leave off on the war field; I'm still hoping somebody (maybe Ursus) got pictures at the tourney.
Unfortunately, I did not. As part of my effort to cut back this year, I decided not to attend certain tourneys and concentrate on others. The Squires' Tourney is one I decided to skip.

And of course, this was the year a friend of mine won the tourney, so I already feel incredibly guilty.

But I had to make some hard choices. Sorry.

@ Arminius: I am loving the shoes and wool pants. And that helm is all kinds of creepy awesome.

Here is pretty much the kit. Changing greaves, and doing some other tweaks to it, but over all this is it.

The Aspis is one of the old Spartan Warband spuntop aluminum shields. I believe Barry Jacobsen still has a few, he is selling them for $300, last I checked. They are 39" across. Mine is 35". I cut two inches all the way around and reinforced the remaining 2" of the rim.

You can contact Barry on FB, if you have an account, if you dont and are curious, let me know, and will try and get his email address, so if anyone curious can contact him that way.

No need to apologize, brother! I believe you've done tremendous service to us all over the years, and it is not taken for granted. I hope you enjoyed your war!

Generally nice, but that breastplate bottom is WAY too low. Looks more on the hips than at the natural waist.

I think it is great that you are wearing greaves. They look very nice. I also love the shape of the helm. I would advise trimming the straps on the leg harness however. :D

Here I am wearing elements of my SCA sport 'Viking Harness' combined with pieces of the developing 14th century armor that I will use for BotN and SCA. Doesn't fit a period or culture as is, but still looks pretty cool while I get there.

From this weekends Pas de Armes in Northshield. Fought most of the day with bastard sword, polearm and two handed axe. Hands down the best SCA event I've been to yet.

I switch mine up between the buff colored doublet I'm wearing in the first two here and a particolor blue/grey double in the third one. I generally wear the outer skirted garment until I get tired of it swishing around my legs. The helm is still a work in progress... still a bit of etching to do, and considering options for surface treatments. I'm thinking about painting the face semi-realistically, though I kind of like the way it is now with most of the helm being blackened and the face lightly wire brushed. I'm hoping to replace my old fencing jacket and gorget soon - thinking about some options that will work with my current helm and soft kit.

My kit is comical compared to most that I have seen posted here, but it is a work in progress.

Here is my first kit - plastic lamellar with (hidden) modified plastic elbows and knees.

Now I have moved to stainless steel, got the plates from White Mountain (before they stopped making them!), my elbows and knees are spring steel (though still hidden), and I replaced my gorget as well. Eventually I want to remove the blue leather (though it does make it easy to spot myself in photos) and add something more accurate. I still have the same bascinet I start with and am trying to get my sweetie to replace it for me...<grins>

I remember that exact moment when I spun around to try to hit Sir William. I had to reengage him and ended up only being able to foil his weapon because I couldn't get in front for a strike.

I don't think the tactic was successful.

I don't even remember seeing you there Broadway.

In all seriousness though Vlad and Kilian, it was a blast fighting you guys on Saturday... I really enjoyed the scenerio and the competition. You guys rocked.

I was heading out there with Bryce, and he said, "Man, I wonder if we'll even field about 10 fighters today." and I said, "Bah, this event sounds awesome... I betcha there's 20 guys per side." And there was more than that. It was awesome.
