hello evryone i was wundering i just made a battle axe its 40 in overall with a 7 in blade it weighs around 7 lbs is that normal?
and also any specific way to train with it just seems hard to use really top heavy butlong as i follow through it seems alright till i hit sumthing just asking for advise
im still learning still doing alot of pell work thank you

Greetings,

If your fighting SCA, you may want to check your kingdom rules on single weapon weight. That seems a bit heavy. From what i remember < dont have the book in front of me > a single handed weapon's max weight is like 5lbs. But i could be wrong. I think Pole Arms and great weapons only go up to 6 1/2 lbs.

sorry i wasnt clear im not in the csa i just train and do alot of pell work its a two hander at 7 lbs ive found two handed heavy weaspons are alot harder and take more endurance to use than like for example my one handed battle axe wich is 21in overall with a 5in blade 1in top spike and a hammer on the poll oh metal hafted alos now that i can use Image
not in the csa but kill alot of snow men and trees
