Hey, i am considering buying a sword from museumreplicas.com. It is the knightly hand and a half sword. Has anyone bought a sword from there? Is there stuff good?

Thanks

I got mine from tuscany gifts or toscany gifts or something like that. Their prices were a hell of a lot better than M R. MR will rape you.

Or try www.therionarms.com

Hal has got some nice stuff on there, and it's all tough enough for live steel fighting.
I dunno if you can say that about the MR stuff.....

15 years ago MR carried good quality products. Since they were bought out a Windlass Steel of India , their quality has suffered.

I have handled a recent piece by MRL. It was purchased about 2 years ago. The generic medieval sword. It looks good, but I really felt it was too heavy. It also just didn't feel like it was real. I didn't like it.

Some of their stuff is ok. They have improved slightly but their quality control is very dicey. You can get a decent piece from them or a lemon. You can't tell until it's at your door. Also their impact weapons aren't half bad from what I hear. If you want something that is a very good sword for just a little more cash than what MRL charges, I recommend Angus Trim.
