Planning on making the Hastings reenactment in 2005?

For all of you that plan to attend what is tentatively being called "The
Next Big One", i.e. Hastings 2005, time is running out to get your basic
combat pass taken care of BEFORE arriving at Battle Abbey.
On the expectation that they will be running the combat as in 2000, not only
have The Vikings have been gracious enough to appoint 6 different folks in
the US that can supply the training needed to pass this this 'authorization'
but they have also authorized those same 6 to 'authorize' folks here, thus
saving those trained the time and red tape involved in doing so at the
gathering.
So don't miss your chance to have this taken care of and spend that extra
time taking in the event and its surroundings instead of waiting in line
with all the others that either didn't get this opportunity or passed up the
chance.
The June training event in Kansas City will be one of these training
sessions that can get you taken care of in advance. See the event site here

If going to Battle Abbey in October 2005 appeals, but you can't make this
one, there will be a couple other opportunities. There will be a gathering
in Toronto in September and at least two other gatherings are planned for
2005.
