Does anyone know any online interpretations of I33, a few friends and myself are starting to work on it and i was curious so see if other poeple are getting similar interpretations to us.

also, something i noticed, On page 8 of my copy(i'm using a PDF version, may or may not be the same as one you have seen) i think one of them is doing a form of wrap. it looks like the person on the right has done a arm drag across his chest to the others sword arm and is throwing an overhead shot landing on the guys tricept with the back of the blade.

i didnt think there was any historical provenence for a wrap. i guess i'm wrong somewhere in there. oh well, just something i thought would be interesting.

The Boar's Tooth (http://www.boarstooth.org) has some of David Rawlings interpretations of I.33 on their web site. The interpretations of David Rawlings appear to be martially sound. There does appear to be at least one false edge cut in I.33 but it is clearly not a wrap.

Dieter's site is currently offline (it seems to happen from time to time). If it comes back up then it has a 3/4 translation of the manuscript into English and a complete translation into German.

I am reluctant to state that the blow depicted on the bottom of page 8 is a wrap, but... I have tried it that way and it works. It also makes sense. There are other interpretations that work equally well, however.

Anyone looking at the info on my site ( http://home.armourarchive.org/members/jester/I33 ) should be aware that my material is notes. I post them online to facilitate discussion, not because I think they are particularly correct. You can actually see a lot of the evolution of my meager understanding by looking at the older material and comparing it to the newer stuff. I highly recommend Paul Wagner and Stephen Hand's book on this subject. While I remain uncertain about some of their material, there's no denying that it all works and makes sense. Just a fantastic resource for I.33 enthusiasts.
