Is it wise to post event ideas here for input, or....

not?
I would not want to come up with a nifty idea and have someone else do it prior to my first use of it....but I would very much like to get some feedback for the fighters of various kingdoms on the idea.
Thoughts?

Well, one of the GREAT things about SCA is that you can fight anyone and ask them for advice and they will help you. There is nothing I can compare to the selflessness I've experienced and witnessed by fighters helping other fighters (that they will compete against) to become better fighters.
I got a great idea for an A&S tourney from the AA, where the winner is chosen by a combination of martial prowess, the accuracy of their kit, and a polling of all the fighters as to who was their pick for most enjoyable opponent. The idea happend by accident on a thread about 'tourney chivalry' (the "chivalric" fighter being picked by the ladies present).
I never would have had this idea without the discourse.
My $.02

That was my line of thinking. So... I will post a separate topic and end this one....

All I know is that I described a tourney I held once on the archive, and last year at Gulf Wars I fought in it....
The description was almost word for word like what I had posted here.

There are few things under the sun that are new.
Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Since you're not making a profit on it, why does it matter?

I have had an idea stolen from people I had talked about doing it with just three months earlier. They called me up and said:
"We know you will be angry at us but we have decided to do this tourney format without you and your group. We graciously will allow you to hold the same format for fencers if you want though."
This was their exactly translated wording.
So I would rather discuss things here than with some people in the neighbour shires.

I think it was the "Town Battle" or something like that. The long Resurrection Battle where Knights were X number of points, etc.
