Has a date been picked for the first coronation? I want to start planning ahead.

On a related note, Trimaris's 20th anniversary is coming up. The 10th was a huge sucess....

I believe the timeline calls for Fall 2005.

Here's the proposed schedule that was included in the petition - no word yet on whether it was approved as proposed, or whether changes have been made.

Proposed Schedule of Events

This petition has been assembled in the hope that it might be reviewed and approved at the October 23,
2004 quarterly meeting of the Board of Directors of the Society for Creative Anachronism. With this in
mind, the following timeline is proposed in order to meet the requirements of the Governing Documents of
the Society for Creative Anachronism and those of Meridian Kingdom Law.

Meridian Kingdom Law requires us to make the first scheduled Coronet List following the approval of the
petition by the Board to be the first Crown List. The Governing Documents of the Society for Creative
Anachronism require us to publish the first Crown List in the Kingdom newsletter. If approval of the
petition is given at the October meeting, we cannot meet the requirements of both Meridian Kingdom Law
and Society Governing Documents. The first scheduled Coronet List that would allow us to meet the
requirements of the Society Governing Documents would be on the weekend of May 21, 2005. With this date
set as our first Crown List, the first Coronation would be scheduled for October 1, 2005.

This schedule would allow plenty of time for prospective combatants and consorts to prepare themselves
for this momentous list. It would also allow the Royal Heirs a generous six-month grace period to study
and prepare themselves for their coronation as the first King and Queen of the Laurel Kingdom of Gleann
Abhann.

The current Crown and Coronet are in agreement with the dates proposed in this section. This proposed
timeline should work well; however, if the Board or Society Seneschal should find fault with it, there
are alternatives that could be considered
