rig for a rainy day?

Have any of you invested in a suit of armor for a rainy day, literally, so on the day's the weather doesnt favor a mild or spring steel suit, you can still get out and train. Somthing like all stainless and leather armor(or even plastic, although in our case I think thats totally out of the question ).
Maybe wear a poncho for a surcoat

I have considered doing it, keeping it minimal cost, maybe get stainless knees, elbows, and a helmet(already have a stainless gorget. I think the GAA gorgets are standard issue down here now heheh), and making road sign cuisses and vambraces, could probably do the whole thing for under 400 dollars. Maybe 300. What do you think?

I assume you mean for the mild steel armor to prevent rusting. I wouldnt trust anything short of paint to protect my armor from a downpour.

Yep. When I lived in Trimaris, my kit was very rain-friendly. (The storm season out there runs from May to Nov). My helm was stainless while the rest was a combo of aluminum and cloth-covered kydex. It seems the vast majority of us out there were prepared to be rained on at any time, be it practice or tourney.

Once I get my new helmet this year I'll be all Titanium and a stainless helm.

I'd STILL rather fight hip deep in the snow in 10 degree weather rather than fight in a steady rain.
