Has anyone handled any of the swords he sells, preferably in that style? Thoughts? Opinions? Is it worth the price? Or is it strictly a wallhanger?

not so much to play with as I don't want something that's going to be complete crap, or regulated to wall hanger status. Mostly for dress purposes, but some functionality would be nice....

My advise is, if you are worried about money-- dont experiment. Seriously, go with something that you KNOW is going to work for you. For swords I always go by the "you get what you pay for" creed. For $50 I'd be very, very nervous. Personally, for this general price range I'd go for a Hanwei practical knightly sword.

It's a depeeka sword and not what you want for reenactment. If I recall right they are not full tangs and the blades look funny.

worth paying the extra $50- $100.

a good sword can alst a lifetime, a crappy sword will last until that mean looking saxon.....

Shoot Karl an email if you have questions. He's an east kingdomer, plays in the society.. I have a couple of pieces I have picked up from him.. they are pretty much what they look like.. somewhat pretty, rust like crazy (at least my Katar does) and costumey.. and his prices are reasonable.

I have no regrets with what I have bought from him.. but I wasnt expecting a DelTin either.
