Known World Squires Tourney
August 18th at 2pm
Location: Battlefield-East
sign in to begin at 1pm at the field
open only to those in fealty to members of the chivalry of the sca
knights/masters must present their students at the time of sign in and sign the scroll that goes to the winner of the tourney. if that is not possible the knight/master should contact me well in advance and let me know. unacceptable excuses are things like "he drank too much last night" or "he is out shopping", etc.
all knights/masters present are asked to sign the scroll regardless of whether they have a squire entered.
tourney format is the same as before, atlantian speed tourney double elim. not a game of tag. face thrusts are allowed and should be of significantly less force than a body thrust. significantly less does not mean mere contact. fighting will be done under atlantian rules. if there is a question during a fight about those rules please see me.
we average around 150 fighters each year and we have never had any issues. this year will be the same. we also run the list fast so please try to be prepared. the focus is, of course, martial skill. the goal is to bridge gaps between the future leaders of the sca. many friends have been made and we have seen men rise from the ranks of this tourney to rule kingdoms. i am very proud of the amount of people that turn out for this tourney and i look forward to it each year.
regards
