Gentles,

Somebody not too long ago said that there was a pattern on this archive for a "quick-draw" buckler hanger. Apparantly it hung on the belt.

A search for it with the "search" function wasn't particularly helpful.

Anybody save it to their hard drive?

"Quick-draw"?

A simple flattened hook?

This is what I made:

*Jedi wave* You see no rust.
There's no frog or anything, it just hangs on the belt.

The clip is a band of 16 gauge steel, about 1" wide. Used 2 1/4 inch nails for rivets. Next time, I'd make the inside rivet head countersunk and flush with the surface.

For left-hand wearing and use, I put it about 45 degrees counter-clockwise from the top of the handle. (There's a "top" because I've purposely made it off-centre a bit.) If you open your hand out flat, the clip doesn't dig into the back of the wrist.

When worn on the left hip, you can reach into it like reaching into your front left pocket.
