They are clearly treating it in a tongue in cheek manner.

Two things.
One:
Looks kinda fun.
You can kill some one from behind.
You can kill someone lying their back on the ground.
You can nock someone down with your shield.

Two:
They look like they would brown their britches if they saw Nissan's group, or the Tuchux, or heck a gaggle of white belts coming at them.

Ummm... Wow.

I just read over their webpage for a few seconds...

Wow.

I keep telling myself that Marietta Georgia isn't that far away and that I should go show up at a practice.

Then I think it would be a bad, BAD idea...

Here's a news report of a demo we did at GenCon 2005 (definitely tongue-in-cheek) but a lot of fun:

...And, yes, we do have people who like to do both SCA and Belegarth.

For all that effort the Owls Nest group meets on tuesdays at 19:00 and usually has between 4-10 fighters show up. At least you could fight folks like your used to...

Hey Kyrian, are you the Kyrian who was stationed in EL Paso Tx. for a while?

If so, greetings. I played Amtgard there when you were around. I went by Ahira there.

Regards,
Roger

Would be great to get a bunch of Scadians to show up at one of the practices for this. Since most of us are used to swinging a club that weighs a lot more i think we could get in trouble.

Then again i really dont need to go to jail for beating up someone with a nerf weapon.

Huh.... Well, looks like fun. If I didn't like getting hit hard and hitting hard, I'd be tempted.

It does look like they hit pretty well as hard as they can. Check out the GenCon video.

Of course no head shots. BUt they shield bash and grapple.

Roger,

Yes, same one. It's good to hear from you again. I still remember attending Boar's War and Estrella with you and the Citadel also.

PM sent.
