I' putting together a Kong headed mace and am not sure of the length I should go for.
I know this is somewhat of a personal preferance. So whats your favorite length?

I have two maces, one is a kong and one is a different chew toy. both are set on swords that snapped at the basket so they ate about 24-28 inches. I like the way they move but historicly speaking they seem a bit too long.

Mine are 28 inches even. I cut mine long, put on my hand protection and did some pell work, shortening the mace inch by inch untill it got it where i wanted it. The mass of your gauntlet can have an affect on how hard your weapon strikes, and the effort needed to make it strike hard. When put together well and taking advantage of its pendulous nature it can rock peoples world with no real effort at all.

For me the mace is an up close and personal weapon and I prefer them to be no more than 18 inches long.
