As Gulf Wars approaches ...

... I find myself woefully unprepared for fighting this year.
Cardio-wise, I'm not too worried but between school and two jobs I have only been able to attend TWO events since last Gulf Wars and have probably only swung a stick once since then.
Does anyone else find themselves in a similar situation?
How did you fare if so?
I'm a little nervous, to say the least ...

you and me both

i have barely been abel to do any shoulder work and no arms since i messed up my elbow.

I look deflated to me. Coat even fits loose in the arms.

I have been fight ing a decent bit so mi should be tolerable endurace wise.

Maybe i just need a blood transfusion from Rosine, :P

Lucian, you're from Trimaris, right? Don't worry, you'll be fine. Maybe have a nice big meal, preferably something heavy like turkey and mashed potatoes before every battle. If your body says you really need a nap, listen to it.
Seriously, my arms can feel like lead if I haven't fought in a while. I generally pick up a couple 5 to 10lb weights and pretend I'm throwing shots and blocking with them in my hands for as many reps as I can, then rest for a couple minutes and repeat. Do that for a few days and you'll fare much better. Staying hydrated, stretching and adding a bit of muscle can reduce your injuries. Check over your whole kit well before it's time to go to make sure everything is in good shape and still fits.

Lol, thanks for the heads up on the turkey, Gaston -- I'll be sure and make you a HUGE helping also.
Great idea on the weights, I'll get started ASAP. Kit fits fine, the only thing that differs is that I DID buy a new helm but I've padded it and it feels great.

Lucian & Murdock etc.

Come find me. I am happy to work with you to knock the rust off. Between myself and my house, we should be able to work you into shape in no time.

Ask for House Greenshield in the Dragon OR camp. Last camp on the road to the archery field.

Well, all of you have a good time at war. If it wasn't for the pending and happily anticipated arrival of our daughter I'd be there...only the third GW I've missed.

If you find yourselves roaming site at night, stop by Clan Marshin Fayne's encampment (Corner of King's and Queen's Hwy) for friendly banter and a good fire...especially on Friday and Saturday nights when we host our Good and Services Auction and the Seven Deadly Sins party...and tell them Louie sent you.

Fight hard, fight well, and comeback with great tales...

Thank you! We try to keep the party lively and entertaining...we strive to make the 7DS party better every year!

The more drums, the merrier! Baron Grimbaldus will definitely have his Taiko there and I think they are going to have a better fire pit to accomodate more drummers and Dancers.

Have a great time!
