(on Pennsic) I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux.

I desperately want to see more pics of that awesome kit.
Pictures like that one are what made me interested in history to begin with.
Thanks, my kit is still evolving, I don't think its there yet. I have taken some liberitis with accuracy, particularly in the coat of plates which is a mixture of 3 extant styles but from memory closest to the Wisby 27.
I have some maille coming from Ice falcon and I am working on replacing my aventail with a rivetted one.

Solid Inspiration.
Generally, when people ask me about the SCA, I show them this thread. Without the pictures, friends/family think of a D&D style larp. With the pictures, they think "F***ing badass"

I can't protect you without holding a sword.
I can't embrace you while holding a sword.
Yeah, HM Owain kicks whole bushells of ass. Bushells. Bet you didn't even know ass came in bushells. And yet, it does. We have the peasants in An Tir pick the ass off of the ass-plant, just so that the king can kick it. By the bushell.
HG Cedric asked me to take care of Wrenn and him at Gulf Wars. So I'll be feeding TRM and any entourage they bring. Ceddie assures me they are great people. I'm sure that is so because if Ceddie likes him, he has to be good.

Yeah, we were lucky enough to host them last year when they were in town, we had an after-party at our place... they rock. fun, caring people and they're pretty much the cure for peer fear.

Sadly, that didn't do the trick. I'm not sure why. Your signature line is definitely edited out of it. Oh, well. Luckily, I found another way around it... Sha-ul, if you're posting the link on Facebook, you can click the text that is displayed and erase/edit it to your liking. Just figured that out myself.
