Eight fighters entered the lists:
Duke Hasdrubal, Berus Jarl, Sir Siegfried, Sir Evander, Sir Nigel, Sir
Etain, THL Wat, and Lord Streonwold. After a round robin tourney, the
semi-finalists, who had accumulated the most victories, were Sir
Siegfriend, THL Wat, Sir Etain, and Sir Evander. The semis were matched
by random draw, and consisted of three rounds, each best two out of
three. Sir Evander met Sir Etain, with Sir Etain emerging victorious;
THL Wat met Sir Siegfried, with Sir Siegfried emerging victorious. The
finals were likewise best two of three rounds, each best two of three.
Sir Etain emerged victorious in two rounds, and thus was able to place
the coronet of the Princess of Ealdormere on the brow of his wife, Lady
Valfreya Greenespear. Wassail to all!

It was a very well-fought, challenging tourney with many well-matched
opponents and surprisingly few double kills. The weather was wonderful,
as was the lovely shield tree with flags added above each as victories
were gained in the round robin.

And in one final piece of business just before I left, Baroness Joanna
of Northumberland was placed on vigil for the Order of the Laurel for
her work in precious metal embroidery.
