A penny for your fights

Saturday The Confederation of the Mountain Clans held their Ladies' Champion Tourney.

It was fought as a round robin with a pool of eleven fighters. While there was a convention about not using the same weapons form two bouts in a row, it was entirely optional.

At the end of the day Lord Ruger (the German formerly the Mongol known as Batu) had emerged victorious with no losses, with two of us tied for second with 2 losses each.

Prize for the day was a small wooden coffer with a number of pewter Edward III coins within.

Having been presented by him with one of these "silver" pennies, I now know the value of a bout with me :P

Seriously, it was a very enjoyable day of fighting. I think we all got enough, since after the list was finished, there were only three of us still interested in pickups and after I fought a few bouts with each of the other guys we were all done for the day.

I can tell I'm getting old though. the getting up and moving around for the next few days is just plain hard

And I'm sure I've misspelled Ruger's name, for which I apologize

I would have love to been fighting in this. But the streak of mishaps and setbacks I had, put me in no mood to even think about armour.. :x
