Hello everyone. This is going to be done in a couple of weeks. It is 10" X7" tall. It is on muslin embroidered in split stitch and Chain stitch. It is DMC cotton floss. I will be putting it on the website for sale soon. I am leaving it on a larger piece of muslin so it can be appliqued to what ever you would want to put it on. The interior colors will be blue, red and gold.
Let me know what you think.

Wow, that's gonna be impressive!
May I ask how you accomplished the pattern transfer? I can't quite see if the black is an outline stich, or is it printed on the fabric?
If it's a trade secret, I understand.

Actually it is a dark green; there is this Wonderful thing called a Sulky iron on transfer pen. you basically trace your pattern in reverse, turn it over and iron it on. It comes in 6 different colors so you can pretty much match the color of your embroidery floss. pm me and I can send a link for you.

this is the link, I hope it helps.
And just to be "official" I do not believe in "trade secrets" for three big reasons.
First, I am in the SCA and the whole purpose of this is to "learn by doing". You cant do that if everyone kept secrets.
Two, I love to share good info to make life better.
Three, well it is bad kharma to keep a good thing to yourself.
I stepped down temporarily as A&S officer for my local group, but I am more than willing to give classes on how to do ANY of the items I have on my website. My business advisor is going to kill me for that, but well, I am pretty good at what I do and there are a lot of people that either dont have the time or patience or both.
