Recieved the ecranche shields for our IJA tournament this weekend.

My partner picked his up and was in awe of the quality of the work. He said it looked like it would last a few seasons of full-contact work. He was very happy with his part of the order.

Of course, my ladies was the same as mine, so it was the same high quality and craftsmanship.

We got an extra for our boss for the upcoming shows. Another perfect shield.

Vitus was kind enough to rush these a bit. I got invited to an IJA joust and instead of "get to them when you can get to them" it became "can I get them by the 6th so I can get them on line by the 11th".

Well. It's the 6th. Right on time. Perfect transaction as always. We even got the toy surprise inside the box.

Can't go wrong with Atzinger Shield Werks.

I am going to second Leo's review.

Vitus was kind enough to send me a couple of his ecranches to test out in WCJA/IJA style jousting back in 2007. Cassandra and I beat the holy crap out of these - using WCJA "heavy" lances with copper caps. The ONLY damage was a slight scratch across the face of the shield and this is after taking multiple direct hits with lances not only breaking, but exploding from the impact.

For those of you in the SCA that a want a joust shield that will literally last you forever, you cannot go wrong in getting one of Vitus' ecranches.
