I just finish a mild steel locking cheek chalcideon helmet and I think it turned out great, will look awesome with a mohawk and brasswork.
I am taking orders for any helmet, greives or muscled chest, will talk about anything else also. Here is the link to my pic gallery of past work.

I'm not usually a fan of locking chin helms like that but I love the shape of the grill and how the seam disappears under the nasal. I also love the way the bar-grill becomes 'flags' to be riveted in place.

yeah I dont like to weld bar grills onto the helmets,I like the removeable ones with tabs. I like hidden grills which you cant do and have it removeable.

I agree with Wayne: round nasal end and and no medial ridge. I wants one too preciousss. I'll PM you when I am recovered from Vacation expenses....
Can you weld a magnet inside of the each side of the head so the side plates stay up when the grilled is unlocked? maybe blacken the grilles and shine the top more for contrast?
Need to figger a way for a durable crest too... damn what a nice helm.

I dunno...
I cannot weld anything at all. Geez I can barely rivet a strap... without you armorer guys I'd have to really fight naked like the ancient Greeks...
But it would be cool to find a way to keep those sides up when not fighting, just like in the reliefs.
By the way Wayne, both you and Gunther rock. It warms my heart to see such awesome Greek armour being made....
