WISBY Gauntlets: what would you pay
I have evidently priced these too high for general interest, so what would you pay for these?
I am not committing to selling these at a reduced price, although I may if it seems reasonable. I am curious as to what folks think a fair price might be.
Size: Extra Large to Large (Built on an extra large glove)
Materials: Stainless steel, oil tanned leather and bronze rivets.

I am not in the market for this style of gauntlet, however having recently started re-building my finger gauntlets...
As they are, I would pay $300-400.
I would pay $500-600 for those if you were to stitch the leather backing of the fingers to the glove instead of hard rivetting them in place. Being able to cut stitching and grind rivets on a single finger to replace a blow out instead of five fingers is certainly worth $200-300!!

I'm with Leo ... the european guys are bringing them in around 3-400, Whonew is selling similar in the 350-450 range and there are various people selling the components for way low (assuming the individual can do the finishing) I would say in the $350-$500 range before you max out what the market will bear

I have opinions of my own- strong opinions- but I don't always agree with them.

Be patient , there are lots of people who want and will pay for quality stuff. There are many other places to sell these also. Hope that helps.

Hey nice gauntlets. The answer is simple math.$75 per hour is the ball park for a shop rate if you can’t get that then don’t sell them, or make them better, or make them faster. The only way to raise the bar to a living wage in this market is to refuse to sell for less. Don’t screw yourself, don’t screw me, and don’t screw your customers.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I will try refining my design, and timing myself on a production run. These took me quite literally forever to get finished.

I would be intrested in a pair of these with a brown cuff and mild steel components in a month or two. I have a early 14th century suit I am trying to complete.
