I'm working on my lady's Twelfth Night gown, based on several examples in the Devonshire Hunting Tapestries. I'm particularly inspired by the ones that have the collar and cuffs faced in contrasting brocade/damask fabric and not fur. Trouble is, I can't find anything locally or online I'm happy with for the facing. Might anyone out there have a suitable material in their stash, of which they'd be willing to sell me a yard or less, or even a few scraps? It needs to be a good pattern for circa 1430-50 (small concentric repeats, floral), silk preferred but in any case not too heavy, and of a pleasing contrast to Barney the Dinosaur purple wool.

I will pay a reasonable price plus priority mail if I can have it by next weekend.
I predict anyone who knows what I'm talking about is likely to own a copy of the V&A's book on the Devonshire tapestries, but I can scan and post some images as needed. You can contact me at redbarbarian at comcast dot net for faster results.
Thanks in advance-
Klaus
