The blade is 420 SS I believe, and it is sharp ( although I wouldn't cut with this one) the handle is wrapped in a gold / brown cotton cord over silk ? cloth. Tsuba and other tachi fittings are brass, and are very nice. Blade has a fake hamon. Saya is wood with a red cracle finish.
Tsuka is 10" , blade is about 30" overall with nice, deep sori.
One thing of note .. the bone head I got this sword from managed to get a burr in the edge. It is minute and does not detract from the sword in any way. However, he failed to notify me on purchase and I would have liked to know .. so I'm including it here. It is photo'd in the shot of just the edge, it is the slightly darker line on the edge.
I hve only displayed this sword, no cutting at all. Includes basic black vertical stand.
