Speaking for those of us that are sewing-challenged, can anyone recommend (or willing to make) a pair of linen gamboised cuisses?

FYI, Munz, I haven't been able to access gambesons.com since the first of the year...
Galvyn, if you have a source, I'd appreciate to know who it is... My husband is sort of waffling amongst ways to improve the leg protection of his kit...

I'm looking at getting some of Steel Mastery's "Padded Thigh Protection", the ones that have bands of quilting running laterally around the knee.

Does anyone know anything about these? Are they good? Planning to get them in linen.

Hi ladyilsebet,
My wife and I make gamboised cuisses. We make them out of linen, canvas, and organic cotton / bamboo batting. We can make them as padded only or with hidden pockets to hold aluminum splints.
You can contact us off list if you have any questions.

His website is being revamped. There is an email address available now for any ordering or info.

Many Thanks for your endorsement, Guillaume. (Mr. Evil, that is!)
Because of the response, I've joined the Archive.
God help me!

You are in trouble now Rhiannon! Us archivers like to use fellow archivers for our kits, both soft kits and hard kits.
I hope you have lots of materials!
