maybe looking to buy gauntlets.

Once I'm able to sell a piece or two of armour I will probably be in the market for some gauntlets to go along with my Ottoman kit.
This picture shows the gaunts and bazubands together. I currently have the bazubands on order, I need a pair of gaunts that resemble these. I think the cuff could be leather and then covered with maille to give it the appearance of a one piece item.
Anyone think they could pull it off or have any idea's? Stainless would be great but not necessary.

While I would love to try and sell you one of mine, I think your best bet will be Zeihammer's kit. Without having to custom order a set I think his can be easily modded to get the look you want. It has plenty of lames and looks similar enough.

Here is a much bigger pic of the armour you posted:

It looks like the gauntlets are actually just plates that are integrated into the chainmail mittens. They are not hard articulated like more conventional gauntlets.

It does look like they are laying ontop of the mail with an overlap.
I would still use Zweihammer's kit to recreate this. It has holes already placed in similar locations to be attached to a mail gauntlet and the lames would just need to be shaped like the ones in the pic. The only difference would be the thumb, I would use a hard articulation of the thumb to the metacarpal rather than the original design for SCA use. Otherwise additional lames would need to be made for the thumb.

Thanks for the better pic.
I do know that these are lames on a maille mitten, I'm hoping I can find something that looks like that even if it is not quite the same. I think the zweihammer kit could work but I don't know that I have the time/place to knock it out at this time.
I'll have to keep looking to see what other option I can come up with.

Kronos makes a clamshell gauntlet that sorta looks like that. Lots of lames, excellent articulation and protection and all that. He can do that cuff you want but I dunno if he's still making mail but he can definitely do the gauntlet part. He sent me a picture of his clamshells, edited to add I figured it out. Here they are. This is the typical cuff he does, but he can adjust to your bazubands without a problem he said.

While those are great gauntlets indeed, if you look closely at the picture the lames overlap the other direction. I'm hoping I can find somehow to construct them in that manner. I know plenty of places for wonderfully clamshells......Kronos included, but I'm going for a specific look.
I have a pair of cheap, protective, 15th cent. Milanese that work, but just aren't period enough for me.
Basically I want to keep as close to period as possible for this new kit I am putting together. I've already got the maille, helmet on order, as well as some awesome bazubands being constructed. I can't wait to post it once I get it all together.
