FS: Chest from Hell (Now $125)

Post by miscreant »

Okay,
The original idea was good, the overall process, bad. I'm sick of this project and just want to be rid of it before I pull out what's left of my hair. It is unfinished so a definitely lower price. I will add handles before I send it.

It is cloth covered, wood (painted black) edged to look like iron, lined with fake brown velvet, except for the interior of the lid which is unlined. It has a brass piano hinge.

Asking $150 + $24 s/h.

Okay, price reduction: $125 + s/h

I take paypal.

Out of curiosity, what did you do to shape the lid so that it had that curve?
Personally can't see a piece wetting a piece of wood and attempting to force it around a circular form the way some people make shields.

You got that right, Piers.

Things are starting to slow down now so we should be able to get together soon.

All plywood is flexible especially in one direction but they now have products that are even more flexible then standard plywood.

Yeah, the stuff is very flexible but kinda expensive for the size of it.

Brent, let me know when you are back up here. We WILL get together.
