Ok, Darnit...not like I need another SCA project, but damnit, I like the idea of an Artillery Household! Even if it's just former or active-duty Redlegs. Even just a registry of members and a device would rock!

Yes, we should talk winterg, we should talk....

Arty go BOOM!

I too like the idea! And I see you are also in WI.

Let's take this discussion private or in a thread in a better area.

Real thing, unreal situation.

The computer teacher in the school I worked at, and was in charge of technology for had a problem with the students, they had a problem with her.

One of the ways they showed it was to perform Orchidectomy on the mice.

Now this Lady, was a very Proper type, and had a stick strapped to her spine that was quite unbending. Some people of this type can be likeable, she wasn't. It was no mystery as to why she had problems with class after class of teenagers.

The issue was in asking for replacements.

"I would like to ask you to come and have a look at the mice."

"Why? What's the matter?"

"Umm, er, Ahhhh..... They um, seem to be, er, b b broken."

"Broken how, how many of them?"

"Several of them, we cannot use the computers."

"Yes, but broken how?"

"They are missing the, um....... the under bits."

"What, the case is cracked open?"

"No, the things that make them go. You know... the um, ahh... Rolly Bits!"

"What, you mean the balls? How many of the balls are missing?"

"Stammer"

The woman simply could not say "mouse balls". We had to silently agree to call them "rollers".

I eventually had to epoxy the little hatches shut so the poor mice could live a normal lifespan, unmolested and whole in their "under bits".

OK, Since The Artillery Thing got a bit off-topic, I'm going to start a thread in , um, I suppose the Interpretive Re-enactment forum, for lack of anywhere else it fits better.

So, all you 13 MOS types,If your interested in an arty household, form up in by sections and get ready for a two-minute drill
