I have a VERY strong SPangen made from 12G and 10G mild steel. It has my early face under the occular. This is a heavy helm sized for large heads. will fit up to a 24 1/2 brow and countour to the face well. The "Y" patterns in the top panels are laser cut, and the center "y" is actually like 9 guage. This should stop calontirs greatswordsmen, wild Tuchux and the occasional asteriod. weight is about 13lbs. back is flared for larger necks and shoulders.
I was asking $275 on my site, I'll sell it for $200 + shipping.

If I didn't still owe the mechanic for rebuilding the throttle body on my daughters truck .....
Sweet helm at a sweet price.

I've got a guy who is interested, but we need to measure his head. So, can I call dibs pending sizing?

sure, again its a large size helm, so 24 1/2 is upper range, you can go with a smaller head measurement, just realize you'll need more padding. It fits me and my brood of over size squire brothers well, but were all 6'1" +

He's BIG, about 6'6" over 350 lbs. with a large melon. I'll see him tomorrow and get a good measurement.

OH MY... do I have to do an entire norse kit now too!?
How would one go about lining / strapping this helm?
<interest>

good question. I have a similar style norse with "Y" panels. The way to padd it is to cut 2" strips of padding and run them along the cross straps in the top. once you have the rough fit you can cut 1 1/2" strips of padding and place them in the "Y" in the center to balance the head out and take some weight off the top strap. from experience I use the thick black micro foam panels so the foam wont show up looking in. In the top I add 1/4" of the super soft foam as a forming cushion on my head. chin straps vary widely, but as the face does shape inward at the bottom reaching in, especially if you have giant sausage fingrs, can be difficult. I run the buckle and strap all the way through the helm and out the back openings in the rear of the helm and sinch it up that way on mine.
