I have a part of my kit that I need to get repaired and while I could probably do it myself I might also f it up horribly so I was wondering if there's an armorer who might be willing to help me out in exchange for a nice banner. Please email me at silkbanners@gmail.com if you're interested.

Got some details about the modification/repairs? I'm not an armorer per-se, but have been contemplating how to afford another banner of yours.
It's also possible the armorer might repair it for free as in under warranty.
If it's issues with your splints, I'd be happy to help out any way I can for no $.

But if you let us know what you want done, it will give people a better idea of the skill set needed and how it would affect their queue.

Armourereric emailed me but just in case he doesn't want to deal with it, this is the deal.

Basically I have a pair of gauntlets that are almost exactly like these:

http://forums.armourarchive.org/phpBB2/ ... p?t=117275

The only difference is mine doesn't have any rivets on the large plate that covers the back of the hand. They're made by the same armorer though and are almost identical. At some point after Estrella, the long plate on my right gauntlet that you see peeking out from under the large back of the hand plate started sticking and it's not articulating smoothly like the left. I love the gauntlets so I want to get them back in working order. My only other issue is that the cuff is really big. I'm not sure if it can be shrunk at all but there is probably a 2 inch gap between my wrist and the cuff and if it's possible I was hoping it could be made a little more narrow an opening then re-riveted. If not I can just make a wisby cuff for it and call it a day. But I'd be happy to make the banner first then send it and the gauntlets then make more stuff for trade if it turns out to be more work than originally thought. Let me know what you think. :)

They're as I ordered them so I don't want to bug the armorer about it since I don't believe he's in any way responsible for them. The lame may be sticking because I let my Captain punch me in the helmet while wearing it, who knows...I'm not sure stupidity ought to be covered by the warranty. ^_^
