Hey folks,
I'm looking to buy a pair of low-profile clamshell gauntlets to fit over my hands, which have a 3 1/4" width across the knuckles and 4" finger length -index from middle of knuckle. I only plan on using a layer of mouse pad inside for padding. I would prefer them to be made from aluminum to keep them on the light side, and do not care how roughly they are finished as long as they articulate well.
The plan is to cover them with riveted mail to make them look like mittens, hence the importance of having them made with as little excess bulk as possible, and the unimportance of the finish of the metal!
To be completely honest I'm looking for someone who can do this for me in the range of $100. I cannot afford expensive mittens for this project, and since they can be roughly finished I hope this is achievable! Cheers!

Greg, try Kult of Athena, I know that they have a set of GDFB gaunts for less than $100.

I've got a set of gaunts that are too small for me, they may work for you with or without some minor alterations. I'll take some measurements and see where they are at. They do have a larger cuff on them, they are of milanese design, I'd be willing to let them go at a decent price if they will work for you.
