This helmet should be finished out within a week or so. It's actually a first-run using a 2-piece visor pattern. I previously used a 1-piece pattern. I think the 2-piece pattern does not really take any less time to make, but it is a bit easier, as hard-to-reach areas can be shaped before the welding is done.

It is mild steel, 13 ga skull, 14 ga skirt and visor. The visor will have a removeable hinge arrangement. It will have a satin finish when complete.

Size is about 23-1/2, "ordinary" proportions.

A similar helmet can be seen here:

http://clang.adkinssoftware.com/hist%20 ... %2001.html

Base price for the completed helmet is $600. Some available options:

Vervelles: $65
Leather attachment band for aventail: $20
(If you order vervelles, it will come with a paper pattern for the aventail attachment band if you want to make your own.)
Lining holes: $25
Exchange grill visor: $120
Leather chinstrap: $16

If I find a buyer here, I'll finish it out (eye slit shape, breath pattern, vervelles, exchange grill, etc) to the specs of the buyer, and I'll offer special super-saver US insured priority s/h for $10. That will probably save $25-$35 on this helmet, depending on buyer's location.

Questions/comments/suggestions welcome.

Hi Clang. Omg that thing is going to be nice! This is my favorite bascinet Ive seen on here, the face plate looks perfect. Shape on the helm is so nice also. Keep up the good work.

Take care

Thanks, Pitbull.

Yes, I can blue it. Email me if you would like to discuss the option. Have to consider a price...

As always, Clang, your work is stunning. Wonderful lines. It looks pretty hard to see out of tho, you know, with no eye slots :)

Or is that the blast shield down for the Jedi Training Bascinet? *G*

Totally for Jedi training, grasshopper-san. Why do you think it has a hinge on it? So you can raise it if you need to see!
