I concur. Over the last three or four months I've placed a major order for 9mm flat riveted mild mail from Andre, and he's worked with me through a series of alterations/cancellations to the order, a return for a different sized hauberk, and has always been prompt to respond via email or to pick up the phone and chat a while. I look forward to meeting him at Pennsic, he's a great (and very patient) businessman!

His customer service has reached astounding levels.

The very best armouring lesson I ever received was from Andre.

He was on his cell phone and talking to a customer. And as he talked, he walked through his shop and picked up each piece of armour the customer wanted and put it in a shipping box.

He wrote down the credit card information on a post-it as he chatted, and switched to small talk ("Do you like Pennsic?") as he taped the box closed and asked for the address, and wrote it directly on the shipping label on the box.

And then he told the customer it would be one to three weeks to get the armour, as he walked to the door with the box so he could take it to the post office. I think the shipping estimate was "just in case" something went wrong, because his shipping has been excellent, even to Japan and Kuwait for me.

That was the best lesson. Make sure they get what they want, when they want it, for a price that will allow you to make a living and keep on living.

Andre is my first choice in armourers.
