I am new here, and thought I would ask a question.

Is there any interest in handforged blades at a pretty good price?
I have been forgeing for 10 years or so, I make every type of knife thee is.I would rather work on dark age type knives or migration era norse blades,but can do almost anything.
The steel I like to use is 1080,a good all around basic carbon steel. I also make my own pattern welded steel, I also have been known to carburize wrought iron to make my own steeled iron.I also have acess to modern wootz ingots, and tamahagane.

at this time I am not offering to sell, as I dont have any stock made up. But next week i will have about 7 knives finished.I am just asking what kind you all might be interested in.

I would say show us what you've got. Despite the poor economy, someone that has money will always be interested in quality work or commissioning from someone that does quality work.
If you want commissions, then I'd suggest posting a link to pics of previous pieces and an idea of their price to the consumer and approximate construction time.

Being a medieval discussion group. I would think rondels, basalards, sword hilted, ballock, and poinards would be popular long blades, if nothing else. A byknife or belt knife would probably sell well.

Second Cian's list there, and add main gauche and, if you want to get into medium length, messer.

For any of these, the HEMA community could really use well-crafted "practical" blunts: rounded edge, 2.5-3mm, rounded point. I don't know how reenactors in general feel about "contact blunt" vs. unsharpened vs. sharp, but even if you only had a slice of the reenactment market out there you'd have little competition with a historically hilted, good steel contact blunt.

I need a seax... I'm interested in seeing some samples of your work when you get them up.

I also would be interested in the possibility of a seax.

Ive been looking for some cheap strong battle ready sword blanks if your up for making something a bit larger.
