I am doing the unthinkable again and trying my hand at making belts for my own use... for garb and harness.
I need a couple of straps, brown NON BLEEDING (so I don't ruin more garb) leather 1-1/2 width, let's say 60" to make a couple of belts and a bit extra at the end to tie them..
If you have something like this, priced reasonably Please PM.
Thanks!

I have some brown 5-6 oz. heavy chap leather I can cut into a couple of belts for you. Not sure of the length, but I can check when I get home this evening. Should be well over 60".
It's only a fine pebble grain, similar to elk. It's nothing like a veg-tanned piece of leather. About half as thick as saddle skirting, and is supple like elk or moose hide, or very thick deer skin. It shouldn't bleed but it is a wax treated hide, and though it has a bit of stretch to it (once again like deer/elk/moose), it is VERY strong.
I also have it in black and chocolate brown. It's the same stuff that Tandy has on sale right now for $4/sq ft.
I've re-made my soft-kit belts to this stuff, and have been slowly changing all of my armor straps and pointing patches (elbows and knees) to this as well.
$10 ea.

Sold.
I was only concerned with the staining, as in the past I had a latigo leather belt that stained a tunic. Waxing can be washed or dry cleaned. Besides this is meant to be worn directly over Maille, so wax may be a good thing!
Please PM me your email for paypal (in case it changed since our archery days) and what to add for shipping, as I don't believe I can go to the Storvik practice anytime soon...
Thanks!
