Treeless Spanish/joust saddle for sale

Post by Ken Mondschein »

This is a Hilason treeless Spanish saddle. Used once by me and once by prior owner; minor scuffs. Comes with Western-style stirrups and girth. I will be open with the negatives: The stirrup leathers slide and need to be riveted down, and I didn't feel very secure without a rigid tree. Still, a nice medievalesque dress saddle, but would not recommend for contact work.

Retails for around $400 and I paid $300, but will let it go for $200 so I can put it towards a Caspian saddle. Buyer pays shipping.

Will fit large asses (human and equine)

Here's a pic of a similar:

is there a seat dimension?
Looking at some treeless saddles lately but not for a particularly large arse although the horse is pretty wide.
