If you mean shootable, there used to be a few kits on the market- but none that I know of for at least 10 years.

The only source I know of anymore is the rifle shoppe-

http://www.therifleshoppe.com/catalog_p ... 623%29.htm

And their stuff isn't cheap.

Finding a shootable wheel lock for under a thousand dollars would be a real challenge anywhere because the lock itself is so expensive.

There used to be some inexpensive kits 20 years ago- I had one myself.
But the guy making them stopped quite a while back- unless he started up again and I missed it.

Theres a few makers producing finished guns here and there, but finding them is hit or miss, and I'd guess their starting price to be $2000 and up.

So of course, having said that...I find one for under $700.

The maker of the old kits I remember was something like JS Schroeter.

Pretty sure he either isn't around anymore, or stopped making the kits.

I have had pretty good luck with these folks on other guns.

Jeffrey Schroeter - who was in your neck of the woods (Orange County, California) as I recall, Badger.

I hear of kits of his (unbuilt) still showing up every once in a while.

FrauHirsch would remember him as well.

Ah, he has passed on?

I am sorry to hear that, if so.

I don't know if he's still kicking around the planet or not - I haven't run into him in quite a few years.

Sasha Khan,

Yes, Jeff Schroeter passed on. My husband has two kits that are not finished and not for sale.

From what I'm told, they do require a fair amount of gunsmithing/tweaking to make work properly.

The butt ends are not the ball ends like you'd see in Landsknecht pistols, so my husband was changing his.

Ya they are interesting to work on. I've had mine second hand for about 4 years now. I think I've gotten it to fire a whole 6 times.

I just downloaded the 59 pages. Looks pretty complete. Fair amount of fabrication involved but doable.
