Review of the Prince Caspian Saddles from Joust Junkie

Post by Jonathan Baird »

OMG

This saddle is perfect

It is one of the best saddles I have ever sat in.

I can't say enough how great this thing is. I can't wait until I recieve my second one and my strap bardings.

My GF and I are going to have one of the sweetest setups I have ever seen for equestrian.
This is my sword. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My sword is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I master my life. My sword, without me, is useless. Without my sword, I am useless.

Link? Photo? Cost? Contact info for Joust Junkie?

Gloating is more effective with these things.

Editted to add link above but sold out of saddles and "brig" bardings. Seemed to have some strappy decorative bardings remaining. I wonder if Season of the Witch will produce another bonanza of Medievalesque movie left over gear.

I would say the descriptions Ariadne gave were very accurate. Ours arrived earlier this week as well. From underneath it looks like a Portuguese. Definitely some signs of wear but still very good condition. Interesting Girth strap setup. The pommel is non-rigid but looks good. I think we should get a steel plate made for it that will make it useful though. Its been below freezing all week and we've been busy with the holidays so we haven't had a chance to get it on any of the horses to check fit yet but we should have some time Sunday.

I also wanted to mention this saddles have tons of mounting points for attaching barding. Just caught the movie again on TV the other night and noted the riders with the brig bard also had the strap bards over them so they needed a lot of links to hold them on. Everything seems very solid although some glued on fastener covers had come off or are partially detached.

Any little things aside these are wonderful and I want to thank Joust Junkie for providing them.

This is really going to improve the looks of our equestrian endeavors.
