Stonekeep armory: Clarification for Customers

Some customers are confused about the sale of the original shop and subsequent auctions. We have not produced armor at that site in several years now. The site has been used as a storage facility only since that time. So the sale of the original manuf buildings in no way means we are not taking orders or that the business is involved in a move. In my free time I am moving boxes from the old facility here and then auctioning things off that I think you guys can use. but anyways. I've had several people write concerned that we were going out of business lol. To the contrary I'm actually using the money from these auctions to build our materials inventory up to a higher level cause I would like to expand our instock and that does take a surplus of material. That and I came out very well financially in the sale of the old facility.

I'm glad to hear it. You are an armorer AND a good business man, but that doesn't mean you aren't hurt by the current economy.
Keep up the good work!
(I'd wondered about the sales too)

Oh well yes, the business was hurt severely by the economic disaster that started what two years ago now.. I mean we used to have 5 employees and we were busy. And if I depended on the armory as sole income then I would have had to close it at some point and seek employment for sure. But fortunately this isn't something I have to do to survive. I've only had a few years in the black (by design) since we started. Most of our profit I used on labor costs, new machines, more materials, etc. My biggest regret about the economy downturn was having to lay off some good employees and not having another business I could funnel them into. I also was about to open a used sailboat dealership with at least 30 boats, when things went south and that's now on hold till maybe next year. Other than that I've just been getting a lot more fishing in lol
